A furniture store turning a hand to the business of hospitality? Yes, indeed. Casamia, a lifestyle brand based in Seoul, has opened up a boutique hotel in the beating heart of Gangnam-gu. With such a finesse in home decor, you can be sure that comfort and style are guaranteed. Or at least, that was what I gathered upon arriving at the hotel doorstep.

I was not expecting much and had done no research, since I was only staying for two nights. However, the hotel simply impressed me with its beautiful interior.

One caveat though - there is much to be desired in terms of the concierge service. Staffers were helpful but cold. And no, I don't believe it is a Korean thing. The lady at the reception could have mustered more of a smile - she truly looked so sad...

What is there not to like? The wall of books is a dream come true - if only I could have that in my flat! And the hotel is adjacent to Casamia (but of course), where you can shop for your home decor trinkets should you be so inspired by your stay.

I was very impressed. Spacious, well-laid out, and the bathroom is of course, spacious and clean. We even got Orly Kiely bath and body products! I love the bed too and didn't want my sleep to end. Alas...

One thing to mention though is that the hotel is truly Instagram-friendly:
